lifeblood: songs: backgrounds: stranglehold
1996-07-19: check it out, the st. petersburg times:
dew in concert, with sister sara, the scaries, and hourglass garden (9 p.m., the rubb, 1507 e seventh ave., free). atlanta's dew plays instrumental rock (with surf and vague post-punk strains), and that alone makes them brave. the days of those two words going together with any success are long over. two other things that makes the band cool is that it was tapped to record the overture for the jesus christ superstar - a resurrection project released last year, and the band's upcoming ep features a cover of ted nugent's stranglehold with indigo girls' amy ray on vocals.
